New Orleans (February 2017) The Made Man Awards is a celebrity red carpet reception and tornado relief charity drive presented by the Blueprint Global Group and in partnership with the 100 Black Men of America, Black Enterprise Magazine, National Urban League, Upscale Magazine, 100 Black Men New Orleans, and the New Orleans Morehouse Alumni Association. This star-studded event honors African American celebrities and influential men making a difference right here in New Orleans and have also extended a request of relief items such as canned goods, school supplies, etc. in light of the recent tornadoes affecting New Orleans’ communities. The 2017 honorees include National Urban League president Marc Morial, Bernard Bronner president of Bronner Bros. Inc., Marvin Dickerson vice chairman of 100 Black Men of America, Jonathan Wilson president of 100 Black Men New Orleans and vice president of Liberty Banks, Lynell Hamilton NFL alumni of the New Orleans Saints, and over 50 more honorees. The reception will include signature drinks, live entertainment and a toast to the progressive men in the city that keep raising the bar. The Made Man initiative provides a platform for the influencers to be celebrated, positioned with extensive business networking opportunities like the signature LinkedIN Live and become direct community partners. Honorees are committed to change their city in 24 hours by engaging in motivational mentoring workshops with local schools and youth organizations.
