Harrison Avenue Marketplace

If Lakeview is your jam or you just want to check out a new area, Harrison Avenue Marketplace will be held this Wednesday. There will be live music, food, vendors, and non-profits there to keep you informed and entertained. If you need more information, check out the website here. Also, don’t forget to stop by the Heart N Hands space,  they are a non-profit organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana focused on heart health awareness and education for young girls in our community founded in September 2014 by Essence Harris Banks, “heart disease” survivor.

For this meeting, we will get into finances and steps that YOU can make to make sure your finances are ALWAYS intact. This general body meeting will be led by our Professional Development and Advocacy Committee.

Prepfest  St. Katherine Drexel Prep (formerly Xavier Prep)

PrepFest is a Premier Music & Food Truck Festival is hosted by the non-profit Drexel Prep Foundation.  The Festival will be held on the grounds of St. Katharine Drexel Prep (formerly Xavier Prep) on Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 5 pm to 10 pm. That’s right Father’s Day Weekend – so let’s bring Dad out and celebrate him.   The Fest will consist of local food, music, and much fun! The outdoor festival celebrates many great local & regional artists and will share the night with some of the best food trucks New Orleans has to offer.

This “Will be the Best New Festival 2017” with an exciting line up in New Orleans, featuring New Orleans own Kermit Ruffins & The Barbecue Swingers. Also performing will be Amanda Shaw & The Cute Guys, Rechell Cook and DJ Raj Smoove.

Great local food trucks are confirmed, join us with the best food trucks in New Orleans: Cocoa & Cream, Grilling Shilling, Kenny’s Cajun Creole, and Old School Eats.

PrepFest provides an opportunity for people to support “The Prep”, it’s contributions for the past 100 years, and prep for the next 100 years.
