Join T-Ray the Violinist’s Dreams 2 Reality for an eclectic mixer and concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma at 14 Parishes from 6-9pm. The drive asks for you to donate non-perishables, water, toiletries, school supplies and new or lightly worn clothing.
Tues. Sept 19
Finally re-scheduled and set for Tuesday at the Joy Theater. We think 2 Chainz speaks for himself. No further commentary necessary.
Wed. Sept 20
We’re still going strong 5 years later and always looking for something new and different for our audience to try. This September we’re changing up our typical monthly mixer. We’ve joined with Paradigm Gardens to kick-off their fall edition of Pizza & Pies. Ancora Pizzeria, The Pupusa Lady, Windowsill Pies, Old New Orleans Rum, Nola Brewery and DJ Raj Smoove all in one place, for one night.
Tickets are $30 pre-sale and $40 at the door. Use BOGO code: DeuxOfUs
The Tipping Point is an event based on Malcolm Gladwell’s theory of big differences being the result of small sometimes unnoticeable changes. Created by DJ RQ Away it began with the idea of giving those seeking a good time an alternative to what he and his cohorts had come to know as a “regular” night out. With no lines, no cover, no enforced dress code, and a laid-back vibe The Tipping Point has become a “to do” for Good People looking for Good Music on Friday nights. With the emotionally driven music selections of RQ Away, Good Vibes are always guaranteed at The Tipping Point.
Sat. Sept 23
Support the River Road African American Museum as we pay tribute to Hollywood’s Black Stunt Performers. The event will take place at the NOPSI Hotel at 8pm. Meet the honorees who are the pioneers in the dangerous business of film as we take a look back in time at the careers of stunt doubles of Pam Grier, Eddie Murphy, Harry Belafonte, Sidney Portier, Richard Pryor, Mr. T. and more!
Sat. Sept 23-24
Fried Chicken Fest returns this year in a major way. They heard your concerns from the first year and have moved to Woldenburg Riverfront Park for more arm room and vendors. This year includes a chicken eating contest, a VIP Moet lounge (ooo fancy!), Casa Samba, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, an Ode to Bounce Music with THE Queen Diva and so much more.
We have a special discount for our professionals! Use code MOETYOPRO for a discounted rate of $60 for a one-day VIP Ticket.
Sun. Sept 24
