1.  Saturday, Feb. 16: Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals and the National Society of Black Engineers hosts a screening of the Black Panther at Cinemark Memorial City Theatres from 7-9:45pm. Tickets are $20 and include movie ticket, jr. popcorn and a small drink

 

NEW ORLEANS:

1.  Friday, Feb. 15: The Law Offices of Juan LaFonta is partnering with local non-profit mentoring organizations, churches, and community programs to treat kids to the screening. “It’s important that our young generation recognize that there are superheroes amongst them everyday; lawyers, doctors, policemen, the list goes on and on”, and it’s even more important that our families spend quality time together in today’s society”, says LaFonta.

The event is free!! and open to the public on a first come limited seating basis. Doors open at 4:00 P.M at the AMC Palace Elmwood, 1200 Elmwood Park Blvd, Harahan, LA 70123 and the showing begins at 7:00 P.M. Lafonta is expected to have few celebrity friends present to enjoy the film with community members as well.  For more information on how to retrieve passes to the movie please call (504)288-4911.
